The Resident District Commissioner Kagadi Nicholas Kamukama has urged residents of Kyadyoko village in Mabaale town council Kagadi District to embrace community resource mobilization to supplement government efforts to deliver services.
Kamukama was addressing different stakeholders during the launching for the construction of the 18km Kyadyoko-Hamugogo-Kabamba-Kasimbi road, at Kyadyoko Primary school in Mabaale town council Kagadi District.
The 18km road worth 90 million upon completion will facilitate easy transportation of agricultural products like rice, maize and banana to the markets.
He added that through voluntary collecting funds can help to establish community projects like water sources to provide clean and safe water, schools, roads and engaging in saving groups that improve household incomes.
The LCV Chairperson Kagadi Ndibwami B Yosia tasked local leaders always monitor the implementation of projects and inform relevant offices when shoddy work is detected for follow-up.
In his address the Mayor Mabaale town council Irumba Edward said the road was last rehabilitated 10 years back which has hindered movement from Mabaale town council to Kabamba Sub County
In the same development the RDC Kagadi Nicholas Kamukama accompanied by the LCV Chairperson Ndibwami B Yosia, District Speaker Magezi Muwonge, District Executive committee members, District technical staff, local leaders commissioned 11km Mabaale-Nyabutanzi-Kyamasega road that has costed 75 million at Nyabutanzi Trading center in Nyabutanzi Sub county Kagadi District.
