Paachwa
The Kagadi leadership last evening commissioned a 600 million Shillings Paachwa Piped water project intended to provide clean and safe water to residents of Paachwa town council at Kahuniro primary school in Paachwa town council Kagadi district
The water project was funded by the central government to bring quality water and sanitation facilities closer to the people of Paachwa town council.
The commissioning was attended the RDC Kagadi Kamukama Nicholus Kaine, LCV Kagadi Ndibwami B Yosia, Distict Engineer Robert Bukenya, Deputy RDC Benjamin Tumusime, Vice Chairman Kagadi District Mugisa Peter Sebugwaho, and Speaker Kagadi District Magezi Muhonge, DEC Members and Members of the works and technical services committee among others.
Epodoi Pauline Opio the chief administrative officer- CAO Kagadi District says the project started in 2020 and was implemented in a phrased manner for three financial years 2020/2021,2021/2022 and 2022/2023
She added that a total 70 households have so far been connected, and extension of water to other areas will continue.
The MP Buyaga East Constituency, Eric Musana asked the beneficiaries to always monitor the project and report damages to enable leaders take quick action
He assured the gathering that a transformer will be installed as soon as possible to run the water supply system
The Jubilating rresidents of Paachwa Town council applauded the leadership of Kagadi District and NRM government for extending safe and clean water to the area.
