Kagadi Resident District Commissioner Caroline Nanshemeza has commissioned a new x ray machine at Kagadi general hospital in Kagadi Town Council.

Nanshemeza has warned health workers against charging patients for government services, saying medical care should remain free.

She urges health workers to serve the community with commitment and build a good reputation.

Senior Hospital Administrator Simon Peter Tumusiime says the lack of an X-ray machine affected service delivery, forcing patients to seek the service from other health facilities.

He says the new machine is already operational, with more than eight patients having received services so far.

Tumusiime has encouraged residents to use the free X-ray services at the hospital.

Meanwhile, Kagadi District LC5 Chairperson Elly Guard Tumusiime has called on the hospital management to ensure the new X-ray machine remains functional to continue serving the people.
